Hi, I’m Derek Singer — founder of Tech for Tutors.

When my wife, a maths tutor in Scotland, wanted to grow her business online, she turned to me for help.

I hold a first-class honours degree in Computing from RGU (2002), am a Microsoft Certified Professional, and have over 20 years of experience in IT. More recently, I earned a Google Digital Marketing & E-commerce specialisation certificate — you can view it here.

Using those skills, I built her website, set up email marketing, refreshed her social media, and helped her brand look professional. That project became Mrs J Maths Tutor, which is now a thriving business. She’s even created maths content for BBC Scotland’s Bitesize website.

Now, I help other tutors do the same.

At Tech for Tutors, my goal is to help you grow your business without the overwhelm of managing the tech side. Tutors should be free to focus on what they do best — teaching — while I take care of the rest.

I understand tech. I understand tutoring. And I know how hard it is to juggle both.

That’s why my mission is simple: You do the tutoring. I do the tech.
